I recently picked up one of my 2012 babies from a customer who’s downsizing their collection. The skink’s baby name was Fyre; he was from a Fluke x Wasp litter. I figured I’d snap a few pictures to show what a pretty lad he’s grown to be 🙂
This is Fyre as a baby (3 weeks old):
And here is Fyre now (2 years old):
I put him with his mom, Fluke, as a gender-test. You can see how different they look – Wasp’s genes are very strong and produce very bold northerns with lots of dark and loooong tails. Fluke’s a bit skinny in these pictures since she just had a litter of 13 babies. Fyre is long and skinny naturally, with a chunky big head.
I’ll be looking to find a new home for Fyre now, probably with a breeder who’s interested in produce some dark babies (I’ve been told Wasp babies are very dark and unique; I’ve had a lot of interest from people stateside). For right now though, it’s great to see one of my babies all grown up and looking handsome 😀 He’s also very outgoing and friendly.
